Truth be told, not all the toys in my toy bin are bargain bin finds. There are some that have been bought at full price. Like this Wonder Woman Multi-Charger/ mini bust from Petron. To coincide with the worldwide release of the latest DC movie Batman vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Petron came out with four collectibles.
For every Php 500.00 worth of gas, customers could avail of any of the collectibles for Php 200.00 each. We got this when we stopped for gas while we were on the way home one night.
The set featured busts of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman as they appeared in the movie. Aside from being mini-busts, all four double as something else. Superman's bust is also a digital clock, while Batman has two: one is a USB reader and the other one lamp.
This bust of the Amazon warrior-princess-demi-goddess is made in Gal Gadot's image as Wonder Woman. But like the other two characters, this bust also doubles as something else- a multi-gadget charger. It comes with four different charger tips for use with different brands of mobile phones and gadgets. It plugs to the computer via the supplied USB cable.
Overall, it's a decent piece. The paint job is clean, but it could have been better. The colors are mostly flat and could have been improved with a bit of dry brushing. The eyes and eyebrows could also have been painted on better.
I was actually surprised with its size. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I was expecting something around 4 inches high when I first saw the commercial, but towards the end, they showed the busts being held by models and they were surprisingly big. It's roughly 6 inches high. It's also a lot heavier than I expected. The material is made with plastic.
I haven't tried charging anything with the Wonder Woman Multi-charger yet, and to be honest I actually don't plan to use it as a charger at all. Her place will be up there on the shelves among my some of my preciousssssss.
