I went to Collecticon and all I have to show for it is

A photo.

Nothing more. I took my camera out to shoot, and it kept conking out on me. So I only got a couple of shots of the same thing. Here’s the photo. They are customs of X-men figures and were displayed at one of the sellers’ booth. These are so amazing! I really love that paint job on Storm. Probably the highlight of my day at Day 1 of Collecticon.

I heard about a new toy event two weeks ago. One of my favorite toy sellers told me about a "toy con" of sorts that's being scheduled for March. I initially thought she meant TAGCOM, but she said it wasn't. So I did a bit of digging and I found this:

TOY EVENT: Vinyl + Splash: The Ultimate Collectible & Comic Convention

Toy collectors rejoice! There's another convention in town: Vinyl+Splash: The Ultimate Collectible and Comic Convention. Presented by Fully Booked, Red Nimbus, Vinyl on Vinyl, and Comic Odyssey, the event happens on the 26th of November at Top Shelf on the 5th floor of Fully Booked BHS. Gates open at 10 A.M. and ADMISSION IS FREE!

Toy Kingdom Warehouse Sale and XTC 2011

It's happening this weekend. I've been thinking of going, but I might pass up on this one. Besides, I don't think I won't be able to last in there anyway, if last year's sale is an indication. The place was so packed with people you can hardly move an inch.

Joint Junkie also posted another toy event which happens next weekend : XTC 2011.  I'm thinking whether I should go and take a peek since I wasn't able to go to last year's con.

Ayala Mall's October Toy Fest

Since I missed out on Collecticon and the toy sale, I might check this out. A friend says there's going to be a free die cast car for the 1st 200 to register for the 2 days according to his source.There will also be Free 2010 SDCC Giveaways for every purchase while supply lasts. The October Toy Fest will be on Oct. 16 & 17 at the Glorieta 5 Atrium, from 10AM-9PM. Admission is free!

Collecticon 2010

The heavens are conspiring to make me miserable! On the heels of the 2010 Hasbro Toy Fair is one of the cons I wanted to go to-- Collecticon. It will be on this coming weekend, October 2-3 at Robinson's Midtown Mall. The con will be open from 10AM-9PM and admission is FREE.
