Blast From The Past: Photos From The 2013 GWBC Philippines

Hello blog! What's up? How time flies, doesn't it? I thought it's just been several months, but in truth, it's been over a year since my last post. I've been meaning to post, but I've kept putting it off until I've finally gotten to doing it today. That's not to say I haven't done anything for the blog at all. I  have done lots of posts that are saved in my drafts folder that need to be finished and published. And here's one of them, finally making it online.

These pictures have been long forgotten, sitting in my hard drive since the day I took them back in 2013. I've finally sorted through all of them so here are some photos from the Philippine leg of the 2013 Gunpla World Builders Cup.

So that's some of the pics from the part of the exhibit that was fronting the entrance to the mall. Let's take a look at the selling area behind the the glass-fronted cabinets for a bit. The selling area occupies a small area of the entire exhibit floor. This is where you'll find lots of Gundam kits. There were both regular-priced and discounted items available. Some, like the mini Gundam kits in one of the pics below, were even sold for as low as Php 50.00. I actually got 3 of those. There's also a section where you can play an interactive video game.

Let's move towards the center, where more models were on exhibit. This inner display occupied about a third of the entire are. This area featured trophies, dioramas and upcoming model kits.

The next set of photos were taken from the other side. There were more display cabinets there that housed more Gundam models.

Like I said, there were plenty more models on display, but the last four above were the only usable pics I could get from that bunch. Last photo for this post:

And that's the 2013 Philippine Gunpla World Builders Cup. I know I have one or two more sets of photos from other GWBC events somewhere on my hard drive. Once i find and sort through them, I'll be sure to share them here. Cheers!
